What to Bring With You...
- We highly recommend that you bring your own containers with you to collect your berries. Plastic or glass containers with lids tend to be the best as you can ensure they stay covered and won't spill in your car!
- Wearing the proper clothes can make all the difference - we suggest long pants, and shoes (NOT sandals). You may even be more comfortable in long sleeves.
- Sunscreen and hats are a very good thing! You don't want to get sunburned while picking berries.
- Of course, we'd like to say that there are never bugs in Bayfield, but that just isn't so. Bring some bug spray with you, just in case!
- Feel free to bring a picnic lunch with you. We do have a variety of snacks and beverages for sale, and our patio is perfect for relaxing after a couple of hours of picking.

Handling and Freezing Your Berries...
- Remember, berries are very fragile. It's important to handle them carefully so they don't bruise.
- Don't leave your berries in your car any longer than you need to. Take your berries home and eat them or freeze them as soon as possible.
- Do not wash your berries until you are ready to eat or use them.
- If you are going to freeze your berries be sure they are as dry as possible before freezing. It is best to freeze berries in a flat layer (a cookie sheet is perfect!) and then transfer them to an airtight container once they are frozen. This will prevent your berries from sticking together and you'll be able to take them as you need them from the freezer.
