Farmland Preservation
Blue Vista Farm sold it's development rights to the Town of Bayfield as part of the Town's farmland preservation program. The sale of our development rights to the Town ensures that the land that is now Blue Vista Farm will always remain farmland. An easement was placed on the title restricting non agricultural buildings from being erected or the land from being subdivided in any way.

A combination of Federal, Town, foundation and landowner contribution money made this project a reality as well as a commitment of the Bayfield Regional Conservancy to work with the Town. For more information about this program contact the Bayfield Regional Conservancy at www.brcland.org.
